Statement of Research Interest
We are using zebrafish as a model to study onset and progression of pediatric cancer with a current focus on sarcomas. We follow genetic modeling and xenotransplantation strategies to create zebrafish cancer models to screen for new therapies and dissect disease etiology and molecular mechanisms driving the disease. We have developed semi-automated small compound screening workflows for zebrafish xenografts. Recently, we have also established a new zebrafish strain for light-mediated control over gene expression, enabling us to target oncogenes to single cells.
