Term Name: low-affinity tryptophan transmembrane transporter activity
Synonyms: low-affinity tryptophan permease activity
Definition: Catalysis of the low-affinity transfer of L-tryptophan from one side of a membrane to the other. Tryptophan is 2-amino-3-(1H-indol-3-yl)propanoic acid. In low-affinity transport the transporter is able to bind the solute only if it is present at very high concentrations.
