Definition:	Members of the Mutator family of terminal inverted repeat (TIR) transposon are usually long but are also highly divergent, either sharing only terminal G?C nucleotides, or with the G?C nucleotides absent. The length of the TSD (7-11 bp, usually 9 bp) remains probably the most useful criterion for identification.
